Steak, and meat generally, is hugely popular in Argentina, making beef the national food in all but name. Wherever you go, you’ll find plenty of dishes containing meat, prepared in various ways. Argentina is one of the world's largest producers of wine, with fine examples produced in the Mendoza, San Juan and La Rioja regions. Argentinian beer is less well known around the world, but you can still find local craft brews to try in addition to the country's most popular beer - Quilmes.
