Escorted tours and holidays to Graceland

Graceland, Memphis

In early 1957, a young yet already famous Elvis Presley was looking for a home. It wasn’t just any house that would do, but something comfortable for a young man, sufficiently glamorous for his rockstar persona, and most importantly, a safe space that offered much-needed privacy for Presley’s downtime.

Fortunately, the 22-year-old singer came across Memphis mansion Graceland and spent $102,500 to call it his own. Fast forward to today, and the home has been appointed a National Historic Landmark and it is one of the United States’ most-visited homes, with half a million visitors passing through the doors each year.

What makes Graceland special isn’t simply the grandeur of the place, but the fact that in 1977, it is where the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winner had his final moments.

An escorted holiday to Memphis is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to feel closer to the King at Graceland, as well as pay a visit to the music mecca that is the surrounding city, with sights including the Music Hall of Fame, Stax Records Museum, Sun Studios, and Beale Street, the main downtown street that continues to the banks of the Mississippi.
