Escorted tours and holidays to Barcelona

Barcelona00003

With great food, incredible architecture and a plethora of enthralling things to see and do from spring to winter, Barcelona tours are the stuff of dreams. This vibrant city is home to an enviable array of magnificent historical and cultural sites, such as Park Güell and La Pedrera, which are a part of our Barcelona, Montserrat and the Pyrenees tour, as well as a number of stunning beaches and spectacular views. It may be Spain's 'second city', but the breadth and calibre of things to do here is truly unparalleled. Happily, many of the main tourist attractions can be explored on foot, making short city breaks or even day trips extremely worthwhile.

As the city's largest neighbourhood, Eixample is the first port of call for many visitors, with famous sights such as La Sagrada Familia and Passeig de Gràcia high on the city sightseeing to-do list. The Barri Gòtic, or Gothic Quarter, is another highlight of many holidays in Barcelona, with its winding mediaeval streets and imposing Roman architecture playing host to a variety of shops, restaurants, and the pretty tree-lined avenue of La Rambla. Elsewhere, the trendy boutiques and coffee shops of El Raval are likely to entice those seeking an edgier side of the city, while elegant Gràcia offers pleasant centuries-old boulevards and splendid views aplenty. Whether you’re considering a guided tour or setting off on a Barcelona family holiday, you’ll find yourself falling in love with the city before you know it.

Things to do in Barcelona

Barcelona is a city of fun. Hit the glorious, sun-kissed beaches, soak up the local atmosphere in a square, or feast on tapas by night.

Food & Drink in Barcelona

Barcelona is brimming with exceptional cuisine. While Spanish ingredients can sometimes be simple, including cured meats, seafood, fruit and vegetables, these foods tend to be exceptionally fresh and perfectly cooked, resulting in mouthwatering dishes such as salted cod, filling paella and faves a la Catalana. Snails and jamón are also popular additions to many Barcelona holidays.

Be sure to check out the city markets, where the locals shop. Both La Boqueria and Santa Caterina are great options for a meal on the go, or some edible souvenirs to cart home.

In Barcelona, there is a fantastic variety of spots for a drink, too. Whether you fancy a quiet sunset drink at a lively beachside bar or a cocktail in an elegant rooftop bar, Barcelona holidays will allow you to really unwind.
